About Portals
The AMA will take place in the Equinox Portal, hosted by NOX. Portals is a web-based metaverse platform, designed to be immersive, accessible, and compelling. NOX will appear as an avatar alongside avatars of Echocore CEO and Founder James Tyler Allen and Co-Founder & Metaverse Architect Doug Thompson. And if you want to get involved, you can create your own avatar and join us to experience this AMA!
About the AMA
You are invited to join us for an open, interactive AMA (Ask Me Anything) in the Equinox Portal on 18 February at 12:00pm UTC. NOX will be hosting and inviting CEO and Founder James Tyler Allen (Ty) and Co-Founder & Metaverse Architect Doug Thompson for a completely unique interview.
Before founding Echocore, Ty had a long and storied history in the entertainment industry. After studying film at UCF, he was working in management, dealing with talent and intellectual property. He was then the head of the digital department at Buchwald and co-founded Tact Media, an omni-platform production and management company. His experience within the industry, combined with an interest in storytelling, sparked a curiosity about how technology would impact how stories are told in the future, which led to the founding of Echocore. Echocore represents a culmination of years of studying paradigm shifts in the entertainment industry, and an exciting new frontier in narrative and storytelling.
Doug has always been steadfast in his commitment to utilizing technology for good, even before founding Echocore. From helping children with autism speak their first words, to creating wheelchairs for military amputees and everything in between, Doug understands the power of technology. As a self-taught coder, he launched some of the first iPad applications for the pharmaceutical industry as well as a huge number of other successful apps. He also has experience with blogging — his previous website was the top global site for information and strategies related to BLE and proximity technology.
In addition to the event in Portals, this AMA will be streamed live on our website for those who miss out on a portal slot. Those in the portal will be muted but able to use the chat function so Arkq and Ishiki, the co-hosts and guild leaders of Equinox, can pass questions from the community to Ty and Doug.
